The
free-flowing brush stroke graphics were first used in 1981
in conjunction with the newly developed Weiss logo. The
first designs included Ladies Face, Cotton Reel, Knitting
Needle and these and others received numerous Advertising
Industry awards.
A few years later, the Australiana
graphics were introduced and Weiss Art was born.
The first Weiss Art shop opened in 1987 and other shops quickly followed.
Today Weiss Art is only available at select souvenir retailers and at airports.
The range of products started
as a black and white story with primary colours being used
as a secondary theme. Today, White and Navy are the most
popular colours and the monochrome theme still dominates.
The Weiss Art range of products
has grown significantly since its inception.
From apparel for adults and
kids to homewares to golf and other accessories, Weiss Art
is the art of casual recreation.
